Terms & Conditions

1. ACCEPTANCE

By accepting a reservation and making the required deposit or payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Upon issuance of a booking confirmation by Celina of the Sea, the reservation shall be deemed accepted unless you notify us in writing of any objection within forty-eight (48) hours of receipt.

If you make a reservation on behalf of another individual, or use another person’s credit card for payment, you represent and warrant that you have the necessary authority to act on their behalf and to bind them to these Terms and Conditions. Celina of the Sea reserves the right to request a completed Credit Card Authorization Form, together with the cardholder’s signature and any supporting information required to verify the transaction.

References in these Terms and Conditions to “you”, “your”, “guest”, or “passenger” shall include the person making the reservation as well as all individuals travelling under the same booking.

Celina of the Sea reserves the right to revise these Terms and Conditions from time to time by publishing an updated version on its official website. The version in effect on the date of your cruise shall govern your booking. Any amendments will not materially alter fundamental provisions, including those relating to payment or cancellation. Where changes are made, reasonable notice will be provided, and unless you notify us in writing of your objection before your sailing date, the revised Terms and Conditions shall be deemed accepted.

2. RATES

All prices are quoted in Vietnamese Dong (VND) and may vary depending on the applicable exchange rate. Cruise rates are generally quoted per cabin, not per person, unless otherwise expressly stated under specific promotional offers and conditions.

Rates are dynamic and subject to cruise demand, seasonal variations, and the calendar year, based on the embarkation date.

Surcharges may apply during public holidays, festive periods, or peak seasons for all guests aged ten (10) years and above. Such surcharges may not be included in the initial quoted fare and, where applicable, will be advised separately prior to confirmation and shall be payable in addition to the cruise fare.

Celina of the Sea may, from time to time, offer promotional rates and special packages. Unless otherwise specified in the applicable offer, bookings made under these promotional or package rates are strictly non-refundable, non-amendable, and non-transferable.

3. SIGHTSEEING & ENTRANCE FEES

Celina of the Sea is responsible for arranging and paying port entrance and sightseeing fees on behalf of passengers.

If local authorities or port management increase or introduce additional port, entrance, or destination fees after a booking has been confirmed, Celina of the Sea reserves the right to apply a corresponding mandatory surcharge. Such surcharge shall apply to both existing and future bookings, and affected guests will be notified as soon as reasonably practicable.

4. ADVANCED REGISTRATION

Guests are required to provide complete and accurate details of a valid identification document including Citizen Identification Card, Passport; Birth Certificate (for children who have not yet been issued a Citizen Identification Card); or Valid Tour Guide Card (for tour guides).

In accordance with Port Authority regulations, the required passenger information must be submitted no later than twenty-four (24) hours prior to embarkation for individual and group bookings, and seventy-two (72) hours prior to embarkation for charter bookings.

Any amendments or additions to passenger information submitted on the embarkation date that require resubmission to the relevant authorities will be subject to the following administrative charges:

  • From 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM (local time): VND 2,500,000 (approximately USD 98) per request.
  • After 10:00 AM (local time): VND 3,500,000 (approximately USD 135) per request.

Check-in time is from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Late arrivals after check-in hours may incur additional charges for speedboat or tender services required to reach the main vessel.

5. DEPOSIT & ADVANCE PAYMENT

FIT bookings (fewer than ten (10) cabins): Full payment is required at the time of booking.

GIT bookings (ten (10) cabins or more): A deposit 30% of total booking amount is required upon confirmation, with the remaining balance payable prior to arrival.

Payments may be made via bank transfer, credit card, or cash. Any bank charges or card processing fees, if applicable, shall be borne by the guest or agent.

6. RATE SPECIFICS & GUEST POLICY

ADULT

The adult rate applies to guests aged eleven (11) years and above. Guests turning eleven (11) during the cruise will be charged the adult rate.

THIRD ADULT

A surcharge of up to fifty percent (50%) of the cabin rate applies, and must be confirmed in advance.

CHILDREN POLICY (0–10 years)

A maximum of two (2) children per cabin is permitted. 

Children aged 0–4 years: One (1) child stays free of charge when sharing the existing bed with two (2) adults. A second child aged 0–4 years sharing the same bed will be charged 50% of the applicable adult rate.

Children aged 5–10 years: sharing the existing bed with parents will be charged 75% of the applicable adult rate. Extra beds are available upon request, subject to availability and is available at 85% of the applicable adult rate.

Children aged 11 years and above will be charged the full adult rate. 

Children occupying a separate cabin will be charged at the full adult rate.

7. VOUCHERS & CONFIRMATIONS

Booking confirmations and service vouchers will be issued upon receipt of full and valid payment and delivered to the guest via the email address provided at the time of booking.

8. FINAL PAYMENT

All payments must be settled prior to the check-in date. FIT bookings require full payment at the time of booking, while GIT bookings must be paid in full before arrival date.

Failure to comply may result in cancellation of the booking and applicable charges. Payments may be made by cash, credit card, or bank transfer. The client or agent shall bear all related bank or card fees.

9. CANCELLATION & AMENDMENTS

Any changes/ amendments to an existing booking shall be considered as a cancellation and a new booking shall be made. Changes/ amendments are limited to 02 times/ reservation. Penalty charges shall apply accordingly, based on the charge for each cancelled room as per the following percentages:

10. CHANGE OF CABIN CATEFORY

Celina of the Sea reserves the right to allocate or reassign cabin accommodations or, where operationally necessary, transfer a booking to another cruise of an equivalent category and standard. In such cases, guests will be provided with accommodation of the same cabin category or a higher category and of a comparable standard to that originally booked.

11. BAD WEATHER POLICY

We reserve the right to cancel your booking in the event of unavoidable circumstances such as: weather conditions, wars, civil strife, industrial disputes, natural disasters, terrorism, pandemics or on the express order of the local authorities

If we cancel your booking, you can either receive a refund or accept an alternative date/ booking from us at the equivalent or similar standard/ price, if possible. In case the alternative option has a lower standard, we will refund the difference. 

In the event of cruise cancellation, the management of Cruise will inform guests, and travel agents as soon as possible giving full details of cancelation risk, possible scenarios and alternative options to help you plan your trip.

11.1.  Notification of cruise cancellation given prior to guest’s departure from Hanoi

Information will be given by phone and email to travel agents in a timely manner. Full refund will be made with proposals of possible alternative options.

11.2. Cruise cancellation occurs en route to Tuan Chau International Marina

– Cruise cancellation occurs when guest is already on their way to Halong Bay, and needs to return Hanoi immediately: Full refund will be made.

– If overnight cruise is canceled when the guest has already arrived at Tuan Chau International Marina but a Halong Bay day trip is permitted, Celina of the Sea will arrange the itinerary based on the rates below:

12. REFUND OF UNUSED SERVICES

No refunds or exchanges shall be provided for any unused accommodation, meals, sightseeing fees, transportation, or other included services.

13. CRUISE PARTICULARS

The following provisions apply to all bookings, whether made directly or through third-party agents:

(a) Deck Plans and Marketing Materials: All deck plans, cabin sizes, layouts, images, and inclusions are indicative only and subject to change. Celina of the Sea is not responsible for inaccuracies published by third parties.

(b) Cabins: Pricing is based on the selected cabin category.

(c) Photography: Scenic views and advertised highlights cannot be guaranteed. No refunds or compensation shall be provided for missed photographic opportunities.

(d) Noise, Vibration, and Odours: Guests acknowledge that certain levels of operational noise, vibration, or odours may occur and accept no liability claims in this regard.

(e) Docking Positions: Side-by-side docking or tender transfers may occur. No claims shall arise from such arrangements.

(f) Medical Services: No onboard doctor is available. External medical services will be arranged at the guest’s expense.

(g) Shipboard Accounts: Payments on board may be made by credit card, United States Dollars (USD), or local currency.

(h) Internet Services: Internet availability and quality are not guaranteed and may vary due to technical or environmental factors.

(i) Animals, pets, and livestock are strictly prohibited on board all vessels.

14. LIABILITY & INSURANCE

Celina of the Sea accepts no responsibility for any loss, injury, damage, or delay due to natural disasters, political actions, weather, or causes beyond its control. Travel insurance and medical precautions are essential. Your travel insurance must provide coverage against personal accidents, medical expenses, emergency repatriation, and personal liability. We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance before any trips.

15. COMPLAINTS

In the unlikely event that you do have a problem during your trip, please inform the cruise management immediately. 

If your concern cannot be resolved during the voyage and you wish to pursue the matter further, you must submit a written complaint to Celina of the Sea within 07 (seven) days following the completion of your cruise. Your complaint should include your booking reference and all relevant supporting details.

Failure to notify us within the specified timeframe may limit our ability to investigate the matter and may affect your rights under these Terms and Conditions.

16. FORCE MAJEURE

Except where otherwise expressly stated in these conditions, Celina of the Sea will not be liable or pay compensation if our contractual obligations are affected by any event which we or the supplier(s) of the service(s) in question could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. These events can include but are not limited to, war, terrorism, threat of war, civil strife, fire, flood, or any other extreme weather conditions, and its consequences or the threat of such activity, riot, labor difficulties, the act of any government or other national or local authority including port or river authorities, industrial dispute, lock closure, natural or nuclear disaster, chemical or biological disaster, adverse weather, sea, air, ice and river conditions, loss of power, epidemics or pandemics, inability to obtain any necessary license or consent and delays caused by sub-contractors and all similar events beyond our or the supplier(s) concerned control.

In case of a Force Majeure which makes it impossible or prevents fulfilling the booking contract at the time of travel or within a reasonable period before the travel date, the booking contract may be terminated by either party. Such an event also requires the existence of official announcements by national or international authorities (for example the issuing of travel warnings, declarations of risk, or [partial] state of emergency) at the time of travel, within a reasonable timeline before the travel date or ceases to exist.

Please note that you will not be entitled to a cash refund. Travel agents or resellers who book on behalf of a guest and have not paid us cancellation charges if any, when terminating a booking contract due to Force Majeure, will not be offered a refund in the form of a future credit unless open charges have been balanced in return.

17. JURISDICTION & APPLICABLE LAW

Any rights and obligations relating to your booking and journey and any contract agreement or confirmation to which they apply are governed by the local law where the vessel is registered. Any dispute, claim, or other matter which arises out of or in connection with any agreement or your booking will be dealt with by the courts of the company in the flag state only.

Guests must comply with all applicable Vietnamese laws, maritime regulations, and port authority rules during the cruise.
